A Fairytale Wedding in Kilkea Castle
On a glorious autumn day, our beautiful bride and groom - Clodagh & Philip, surrounded by their nearest and dearest said "I Do" in the magical setting of Kilkea Castle. The castle itself is so magical with beautiful open fires with lots of fabulous nooks and crannies.
We absolutely loved working with Clodagh and Philip to create the perfect setting for their wedding day.
It was very important to our couple to incorporate lots of beautiful personalised elements to ensure that their wedding felt truly personal and unique to them. By including personalised décor in a wedding it helps to reflect a couples personality, style and creativity. We were thrilled when our bride asked us to create a bespoke and personalised welcome sign to greet their guests incorporating the Irish phrase "Céad Míle Fáilte" as well as "Eat, drink, and be married" which was a phrase included in their wedding invitations.

Unplugged ceremonies are becoming more and more on trend at the moment. We created this rustic timber "Unplugged Sign" and like all of our décor items, we styled this setting with lots of beautiful candles in hurricane jars and lush foliage with autumnal tones to reflect the season. This sign is the perfect reminder for guests to kindly turn off their mobile phones and to be truly present for the couple's beautiful ceremony.

The prettiest three tier wedding cake incorporating pressed flowers was created by Norma & Christine from Cake Moms. We absolutely adored the personalised knitted cake toppers of our couple and they even incorporated their adorable dog Teddy which was perched on top of their gorgeous cake.

Similar to the welcome sign, Irish phrases and words were incorporated throughout the day. This was seen in Clodagh & Philip's bespoke menus and elegant vintage mirrored signage created by our lovely bride. Three Little Birds created beautiful calligraphy prints which were used as table names with Irish words such as "Dlúthchara" which translates to "Best Friend", "Grá" - "Love" and "Fearcéile" which means "Husband" as Gaeilge.
This was such a beautiful wedding to style and such a fabulous couple to work with. We loved all aspects of this wedding, from the fairytale vibes of Kilkea Castle, the dark and moody tones of the floral designs that we created, to the romantic atmosphere of the candlelight that we incorporated throughout the styling of the castle. We also loved all the personal touches that Clodagh & Philip added to their wedding to truly reflect their own personality and style.
